R12-16 is 1 inch SAE 100R12 four wire spiral hydraulic hose sold by the foot. It is designed for very high pressure and high impulse hydraulic service, and no skiving is required when used with W Series hose fittings.
- Recommended service: Very high pressure hydraulic applications using petroleum and water based fluids
- Compatible hydraulic fluids: Mineral and synthetic oil fluids including HL, HLP, HLPD, and HVLP; oil water emulsions including HFAE, HFAS, and HFB; and water glycol liquids including HFC
- Additional media: Vegetable and mineral oil based lubricants, cooling water, and compressed air
- Biodegradable fluids: Generally suitable for HETG, HEPG, and HEES fluids, with compatibility limited by fluid additives
- Not suitable for: Phosphate ester based hydraulic fluids, including HFD fluids
- Compatible fittings: W Series bite to the wire hose fittings in all available sizes
