4SH-16 is 1 inch EN 856 4SH hydraulic hose sold by the foot for very high pressure and high impulse service. Its four wire spiral construction handles higher pressure than SAE 100R12 and does not require skiving with W Series fittings.
- Recommended service: Very high pressure hydraulic applications using petroleum and water based fluids
- Compatible hydraulic fluids: Mineral and synthetic oil fluids including HL, HLP, HLPD, and HVLP; oil water emulsions including HFAE, HFAS, and HFB; and water glycol liquids including HFC
- Additional media: Vegetable and mineral oil based lubricants, cooling water, and compressed air
- Biodegradable fluids: Generally suitable for HETG, HEPG, and HEES fluids, with compatibility limited by fluid additives
- Not suitable for: Phosphate ester based hydraulic fluids, including HFD fluids
- Compatible fittings: W Series bite to the wire fittings through size 24 and JJ Series skive fittings in sizes 20, 24, and 32
